Your Ticket To Adventure: A Detailed Guide On Using Your SG Culture Pass
What Can You Buy With Your SG Culture Pass? (And What You Can’t)
The SG Culture Pass is officially here. If you are a Singaporean citizen aged 18 and above, you now have S$100 of digital credits sitting in your account.
These credits are valid from September 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028. We recently wrote about why you shouldn’t wait until the expiry date to use them.
But once you log in, the choices can be overwhelming. Can you buy a painting? Can you go to a concert? Can you pay for a fancy dinner?
Here is a detailed breakdown of exactly what unlocks your S$100.
What You CAN Pay For
Your credits are designed to support local arts and heritage. You can use them to fully or partially offset ticket prices for a massive range of events.
Here are the best ways to spend that cash.
1. Museums, Galleries & Exhibitions
Don’t just stick to general admission. Use your credits for special ticketed exhibitions or unique in-gallery experiences.
You can book interactive tours like the "Former Supreme Court: Unseen, Unheard" at the National Gallery. Got kids? Look for family-friendly programmes like "Gallery Toddlers!" for interactive play.
2. Hands-On Creative Workshops
This is our personal favourite category. Instead of just watching art, you can make it. The pass covers thousands of single-session workshops.
You can try pottery at a studio like Common Touch. You can learn to create your own kueh magnets. You could even sign up for the Hands-On Pottery Experience we highlighted earlier this week.
3. Performing Arts (Theatre, Dance & Music)
Want to see a show? You can use your credits for high-value tickets to live performances. The focus here is strictly on local productions.
Catch a play by Teater Ekamatra. Enjoy a classical evening with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO). Or experience the magic of "Ballet Under The Stars."
4. Heritage & Cultural Tours
You can discover the stories behind familiar places. These guided tours delve into Singapore’s rich history.
Try a popiah-making journey in Joo Chiat. Join a walking tour exploring Peranakan culture. It’s a great way to see the city with fresh eyes.
5. Literary & Immersive Experiences
The pass also covers unique formats that blend storytelling and gaming.
Look for events at the Singapore Writers Festival. If you like puzzles, try an immersive theatrical escape game like "The Dreamcatcher."
What is Generally NOT Covered
The SG Culture Pass has some specific boundaries. Here is where you can’t swipe your credits.
- International Concerts: Sorry, Swifties. Your credits can’t be used for international pop stars. The focus is on local arts.
- Private Events: The pass is for public events only. You can’t use it for weddings, corporate retreats, or private parties.
- Food-Focused Experiences: Some tours might include a small snack. But if food makes up more than 50% of the cost, it’s not eligible. You can’t use this for a restaurant bill.
- Buying Stuff: You can’t use credits to buy physical goods. That means no books, no musical instruments, and no art supplies.
- Movies: Currently, mainstream or international movie screenings are not eligible.
How to Use Your Credits
